The audit institutions of the Netherlands Antilles, Aruba and the Netherlands work together to improve public administration within the Kingdom. They do so by eliminating backlogs and approving annual reports. The cooperation between the three audit institutions is laid down in a protocol.
The Court of Audit is taking part in a bilateral project with Aruba to strengthen and professionalise the Aruban audit office.
In 2007 and 2008 the Court of Audit took part in a debate of a new Charter. This will be followed up in 2009. Emphasis will be given to the establishment of local audit offices in the future.
